Mercury Racing recalibrated its engines to run on 89 octane fuel, which is more readily available than the 91 octane fuel formerly powering them. GS celebrated the new engines’ go-anywhere flexibility with, appropriately, a passport. An online execution added sound, animations, and the ability to flip pages in Flash.
