Breaking Out of the Boxes

DDN had just gone from warehousing and shipping vendor to premier outsourced service provider for the life science industry. Clearly, the boxes-on-a-palette logo wasn’t going to cut it anymore. GS’s new identity and business document templates for the company, anchored by a vibrant green double helix logo, clearly communicates the transformative role DDN plays: Propelling Life Science. Other touches – rounded edges, simple fonts, a lower case ‘n’ in the wordmark – present DDN as human and approachable in what can be an overly rigid, technical industry.
