GS Flushes Out Annual Promo with Interactive Twist

GS Design is pleased to introduce "Flush Energy Drink," an imaginary beverage spoofing Milwaukee's recent sewage problems, for its annual promo campaign.

"Basically, Flush is pure Lake Michigan water - in all its untreated glory," explains GS Principal Jeff Prochnow. "Of course, what that means is that it's full of - well, sewage."

To demonstrate its expanded Interactive capabilities (a result of acquiring EKG earlier this year), the promo includes a significant Internet component. Recipients of the promo - which includes three bottles of Flush in a variety of flavors - are invited to visit GSFlush.com to learn more about Flush and play the under-the-cap game.

Many will play and only a few will win. Everyone, however, is welcome to explore the gsflush.com Web site - where dealing with sewage overflow has never been so much fun.

FEATURED PROJECT: Three Sites, Six Languages, One Happy Client

Designing, programming, and launching an effective Web site is hard. Simultaneously creating, integrating, and launching three such sites in six different languages (English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, and Dutch) for a single client borders on the impossible. But it's just what GS Design did recently for SRAM Corporation with sram.com, rockshox.com, and avidbike.com. The three integrated sites were developed using XML-driven Flash, enabling users to browse the product catalog, download product specifications and technical guides, locate a dealer, and buy SRAM merchandise online.

"We're very proud of what our team accomplished on this project," said Jason Evans, GS Director of Interactive. "But we're especially proud of how pleased our client is."

FEATURED PROJECT: GS Wins Big in Las Vegas

When it took on the challenge of creating a brand identity for YWS Architects - an emerging architecture firm in Las Vegas, Nevada serving major clients such as the MGM Grand Casino Resort - GS knew the payoff could be big for its client. In the end, GS came out a big winner, as well.

"They designed everything," says YWS partner Tom Wucherer, "from business cards and letterhead to a complete Web site and a very unique brochure. As a result, we've been able to carve out a distinct identity in a very competitive arena."

Back in Wisconsin, that brochure went on to win a regional "Best of Show" award from the Business Marketing Association. Which just goes to show: When you work hard to help your clients accomplish great things, great things sometimes come your way, as well.
