Lead Strategist - Integrated Accounts

As GS Design’s Lead Strategist for Integrated Accounts you will play a critical role in our future success by deepening our relationship with a select number of key global consumer brand accounts. You will be responsible for providing insight and big-picture, long-view recommendations to expand our clients’ business, and position GS Design as a valued strategic partner.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Gain a solid understanding of our clients' products, customers, business models and industries
  • Act as a subject matter expert for our clients’ strategic marketing initiatives
  • Use creativity and an entrepreneurial spirit to develop comprehensive, integrated brand/marketing initiatives and individual projects and programs
  • Guide and inform the planning and execution of those initiatives, projects and programs
  • Develop strategic briefs and plans and gain client approval
  • Conduct and/or direct targeted, efficient primary/secondary research to understand context and inform strategic recommendations
  • Trust your intuition and instinct as much as your research
  • Deliver research, strategy, and creative presentations (written and oral) in an eloquent, engaging manner
  • Leverage forward-thinking digital strategy to enhance our clients overarching marketing goals
  • Strive to create a professional, polished image of the agency, our work, and our teams
  • Assist new business efforts by helping with RFP responses, capabilities presentations, statements of work, etc.
  • Contribute to GS’s thought leadership activities (potentially including blog posts, editorial content development, speaking engagements, etc.)
  • Build strong empathetic relationships that enhance trust, curiosity, and camaraderie with executive-level clients and fellow GS teammates

Key Characteristics:

  • Experience with creatives, technologists, UX/UI, account service, project management, and the creative process in general
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing; MS in Marketing or MBA highly preferred
  • 4-6 years experience in digital strategy or strategic account services
  • B2B and B2C experience (consumer products experience would be a bonus)
  • Proven ability to understand, synthesize, and distill a broad spectrum of information and deliver quick, intuitive insights and recommendations
  • Exceptional verbal, written, presentation, analytic, and team & leadership skills
  • Team player with the necessary interpersonal skills to coordinate various agency efforts & roles
