For a guy who describes his job as “making things look pretty, fun, and easy to read,” Mark is simply far too modest to admit he’s a serious artist at heart. But he is. Driven to interpret the world – and the world of design – as cleanly and honestly as he can, Mark’s skill as Art Director stems partly from the time he spends contemplating an inverted image beneath the dark cloth of his 8x10-inch view camera. “My interest in photography,” he says, “lends a broad base of visual styles I like to draw from when I design.” And speaking of visual style, his work has hung at Marquette University’s Haggerty Museum of Art and Milwaukee’s Tory Folliard Gallery. Not to mention GS’s very own front conference room.
